Sharpness
f/2.8: Sharp, contrasty, great color and only a hint of chromatic aberration and coma in the very far corners.
f/3.5: Extremely sharp and contrasty.
f/4: Sharper yet.
f/8: Just continues to get sharper.

Vignetting

There is a bit of vignetting at f/2.8 starts to clear around f/3.5 and basically gone by f/4.

Distortion
Only a tiny amount of Barrel Distortion.

This is a great lens and definitely worth looking for. For a manual focus lens the build is sold, a dream to use, and easy to focus. Optically this lens is incredibly sharp wide open and only gets better stopping down. This lens easily has pro optics and is sharper then most new pro zooms even today!

People are almost giving them away so if you find one grab it. They are worth more then they are selling for!
